Welcome to another episode of the Willoughby Hills podcast!
On today’s episode, I speak with Palestinian-American content creator Jenan Matari. You may know her from her popular Instagram page. She has amassed a large audience with her videos that explain the struggle of Palestinians before and since October 7.
Jenan and I discuss the challenges of teaching children about a genocide, navigating capitalism, and what it means to have deep ties to the land. We chat about her own upbringing, which de-emphasized her Palestinian roots. And Jenan helps connect the dots, showing how Palestine is at the intersection of so many other social and environmental crises facing our planet.
For more, please follow Jenan on Instagram and listen to her interview on Abolition, Liberation, Solidarity, a podcast that I produce for
